Albertson's is changing their coupon policy - and this time it is to our benefit.  They will be allowing overages from coupons to be applied to the balance of the transaction (see below).  The new policy hasn't come out yet (I'll let you know when it does); there are additional changes coming as well so stay posted.

“Manufacturer coupons that exceed the retail value of an item will have the remaining amount applied to the balance of the transaction. In the event the transaction balance results in a “credit”, additional items WILL be added/suggested to the order to utilize the remaining value of the coupon. Albertsons does not provide “cash back” on coupons, but provides full redemption value”

Awesome Rite Aid Trip Today

Had an awesome shopping trip today.  I got $180 worth of stuff at Rite Aid for $4.  I paid $25 OOP but got $13 back in +UP Rewards and I'll get $8 in rebates.  I did the Centrum deal that I posted on my page and it worked beautifully.  I got $70 worth and paid $20 and received $40 in +UP rewards.  I used these $40 +UP Rewards to get lots of other stuff (including toilet paper - I'm not sure how the ladies on the Extreme Couponing show get so much toilet paper for free but it is one item I never seem to have a good coupon for).

I'm slowly getting over my depression about Walmart not accepting the twice the value coupons anymore.  In Nov. I used the Twice the Value coupons at Albertson's and I'm now focusing more smaller trips at other stores instead.  I've added Walgreens matchups to my blog now too.  I'm still going to post Walmart matchups but I'm not going to confirm them first.

No more Twice the Value coupons at Walmart

I guess all good things must come to an end.  When I went to Walmart today, they told me that there was a new store manager and that they were no longer going to accept the Albertsons Twice the Value coupons.  This was truly tragic news to me.  I called and spoke with an assistant manager and expressed my disappointment.  I also sent an email to the store:  http://walmartstores.com/contactus/feedback.aspx
If you have time, you might want to do the same.  I used to drive to Albertsons' in Lewiston to use these and I'm extremely disappointed to have to do this again.  Especially since I did all the match-ups for this week and had a great shopping trip planned.  Perhaps we can get a carpool together and all go to Albertsons' together to help cut the cost.  Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.  My only hope is that all Walmarts will start doubling coupons.  I know there are a few pilot stores that are testing this so you might mention this in your email as well.

More Twice the Value Coupons!!!!

It's like a dream come true.  We are getting more Twice the Value coupons.  These ones will be good for 5 day!  11/20-11/24.  One thing I'm thankful for this month - all the twice the value coupons :)  

There are lots of match-ups posted, but I'll add some more this week.

Walmart Matchups are Updated

I had a cold so I never made it to WalMart to price match last week.  I did it today when I did my first trip doubler shopping. There are some great matchups this week because of all the holiday baking sales.  I got $90 of groceries today for $10 - including 20 cans of soup.

We are getting Albertson's Twice the Value Coupons again this Sunday.  I'll update the Walmart match-ups later this week, but many of the current posts should still be good.  Let me know if you try to print a coupon and it is no longer valid.  Once I've printed the coupon, it's sometimes hard for me to tell if it is still available or not.

Albertson's Doublers

Looks like we are getting Albertson's doublers this weekend.  I'll do some price matching tomorrow and update the WalMart match-ups later this week.  Since I'm not a big time blogger, I don't get previews of the coupon inserts like some bloggers, so I'm not sure what Proctor & Gamble coupons we'll get on Sunday and our old P&G coupons expire on Fri., but I'll guess based on what other bloggers say.  This is just a disclaimer - don't get mad at me if we don't actually get a coupon in our insert :)

You can print 3 Albertson's Twice the Value coupons from their Facebook page.  Just click on the blue Albertson's below their photo and it will only show posts by Albertson's.  Their newest post has a link to the coupons.  This is perfect since my newspaper lady only delivered one paper today instead of 3!

We are getting 3 Albertson's Twice the Value coupons in the paper tomorrow.  It has been a great weekend for couponing :)  I have updated the Walmart matchups with several new moneymakers and free items.

K-Mart Doublers!

We were gone all weekend and then sick most of the week, so I'm a little behind this week, but the K-Mart ad this week states that it will double all manufacturer coupons up to 99 cents.  I called WalMart in Pullman and they stated that they will honor the ad and double any manufacturer's coupon up to .99.  The ad is only good through tomorrow, so not a lot of time to plan.  I will try to post some match-ups tonight.  If you're in the Valley, you might try asking the Clarkston WalMart or just go to K-Mart :)

I love getting mail now. Trial Size

It might seem like a waste of a coupon to use it on a trial size item; however, these items can add up fast.  The last couple of months we've been getting $1 Tide and Cascade coupons.  I've been able to get lots of trial size Cascade and Tide.  I currently have enough to do over 50 loads of dishes and 8 loads of laundry, and I've been using these for several weeks.  The best part - I made about $10 "buying" these!  I doubled the coupon for several of them and used the extra money to pay for other food such as produce.

Shopping Trip

Despite the confusion tonight, I was able to get $120 in groceries for $54.  Not as good as I had planned, but that is how it goes.  Forgot to include 2 loaves of bread in picture.

I decided to start this blog to share the great deals that I am finding at Walmart and RiteAid each week.  I don't know if anyone will find it helpful, but I'm loving couponing and especially loving all the money we are saving so I want to share it with everyone.
